We barely escaped the NFL.  The NBA isn't looking good.  Now the darn prisoners are striking!!

Meanwhile the jackasses that the Wisconsin people elected into office have fled the state.  Unbelievable.  Time to organize a sheriff's posse to go find them and put them behind bars.

"Reading about the British Airways strike over the past week made me realize that organized labor strikes don't occur that much anymore. The last significant one that I remember was when The Gipper defeated the air traffic controllers. I quickly had the Google Elves do some research, and sure enough since 1980 (the beginning of the SuperSizeMe Era), strikes have basically been nonexistent....interesting. Does the British Airways strike signal a "change in trend"? The tea partiers probably think so. Stay tuned."

Spaniards Strike

"Spain's first general strike for eight years, a protest against the Socialist government's public spending cuts and easier hire-and-fire laws, had a limited impact beyond disrupting transport and some factories.  Spanish unions said 10 million people, or more than half the workforce, were on strike. "Postal workers are manning a picket line at the Mallusk mail centre Postal workers in Northern Ireland are taking part in the first nationwide postal strike in two years. It follows the collapse of talks between Royal Mail and the Communication Workers' Union (CWU). Mail centre staff at and drivers began a 24-hour walkout at 0400 BST. Delivery and collection staff will strike on Friday with more strike dates expected. Union leaders have blamed Business Secretary Lord Mandelson and Royal Mail chiefs for the failure to reach a deal. But ministers say the suggestion that an agreement was vetoed is "fantasy". Bobbie Weatherall, from the Communications Workers' Union, is one of the workers manning the picket line at the Royal Mail mail centre in Mallusk. "I would ask people to please bear with us in this situation, we are seeking a resolution to it," he said. "If everyone has the will do to that then we can get round the table and negotiate."
